Marcel Wubblots

Dr Marcel Wubbolts is CTO of Vivici, a Precision Fermentation scale up company that emerged out of a joint development program between DSM and Fonterra. He holds an MSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in Molecular Biology from Groningen University. After initially pursuing an academic career at the ETH Zürich in Switzerland, he transitioned to industry. He has over 25 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, successfully leading Research & Development (R&D) and innovation programs. Prior to Vivici, he was member of executive committee of Corbion as Chief Science & Sustainability Officer. In this role he was responsible for R&D, innovation, sustainability, regulatory affairs, and intellectual property. Prior to Corbion, he held several research and innovation leadership positions at DSM in several business units, the incubator and as global CTO.
